Terms of Use

Last updated: 14 October 2026

These Terms of Use apply when you access EnergyCheck.au, complete an Energy Check, submit a solar-company partnership enquiry or otherwise use our services. By using the site or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these Terms.

1. About EnergyCheck.au

EnergyCheck.au is an independent commercial residential energy enquiry and quote-matching service. We are not a government agency, electricity retailer or government rebate administrator.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, EnergyCheck.au does not itself install solar panels or batteries and does not issue the installer quote. Our role is to collect enquiry information, perform basic qualification and, where appropriate, introduce a suitable residential enquiry to one third-party provider servicing the relevant area.

2. Eligibility and information you provide

You must provide information that is accurate to the best of your knowledge. If you are not the homeowner, you may continue where you are genuinely completing the enquiry for the owner, helping the owner research options, or reasonably expect to own the property soon. You must not impersonate another person or submit information without proper authority.

3. One matched provider

Our residential model is designed around one matched provider rather than distributing an enquiry to a list of installers. A submission does not guarantee that a provider will accept the enquiry, make contact, provide a quote, offer finance, recommend an installation or proceed with a sale.

If a provider contacts you, any quotation, recommendation, contract, finance arrangement, warranty, installation or product supply is between you and that provider. You should review their terms and make your own decision before entering any agreement.

4. Rebates, incentives and general information

Rebate, incentive, pricing, savings and eligibility information on EnergyCheck.au is general information only. Government programs, eligibility rules and incentive values can change. We do not guarantee that you qualify for a particular program or that any stated program will remain available. Where appropriate, check the relevant government source or confirm eligibility with a qualified provider before relying on the information.

5. Contact and SMS verification

We may require SMS verification before accepting a residential enquiry. By submitting an enquiry, you consent to EnergyCheck.au contacting you about that enquiry and, if the enquiry is matched, to one matched provider contacting you by phone or SMS about the solar, battery or energy options you requested. You may withdraw consent to further contact at any time by telling the relevant caller or contacting us.

6. Solar-company partnership enquiries

Submitting a partnership enquiry does not create a supply agreement or guarantee access to leads. We may choose whether to contact, qualify or enter a commercial arrangement with any applicant. Any lead-supply relationship will be governed by separate written commercial terms agreed between the parties.

7. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt to bypass security or verification controls, submit false or automated enquiries, scrape personal information, introduce malicious code or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may block or reject activity that appears fraudulent, abusive, automated or inconsistent with these Terms.

8. Website availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the website or service, including state availability, qualification criteria and matching processes. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the site.

9. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the EnergyCheck.au branding, website design, copy, graphics and software are owned by or licensed to us. You may use the site for your personal or internal business purposes but may not reproduce or commercially exploit our content without permission.

10. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EnergyCheck.au is not responsible for decisions, representations, conduct, products, pricing, finance, installation work or services provided by an independent matched provider, nor for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site or a third-party provider.

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law where applicable.

11. Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. By submitting information, you acknowledge that policy.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia. Subject to any rights you have to bring a claim elsewhere, disputes relating to these Terms are subject to the courts and tribunals with jurisdiction in New South Wales.

13. Contact and changes

Questions about these Terms can be sent to hello@energycheck.au. We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version will be published at this URL with an updated date.

Independent service: EnergyCheck.au is not a government agency and does not guarantee rebate eligibility, savings, quote availability or installation outcomes.
